Microsoft’s Move for Windows 7 Antipiracy

According to Microsoft, they will be releasing an optional update for Windows 7 that will counter significant amount of holes in the Operating System. This will address SOME of the strategic methods of the pirates out there in the wild. But as for Joe Williams:

“We are pretty realistic, people who are actively pirating will try to find ways to continue to pirate.”

Technology Highlights of 2009

The year 2009 is indeed a struggling time for both economy and technology alike. But we still managed to push our capabilities to release products that can be considered a knockout hit. From Hardware to Software, Mobile Phones and Cameras – we all fancied about them and took a quick glimpse of what they can offer us. Firefox Gets Patched, Chrome Pushing Upward

I’ve read a lot of blog post from notable sources that reports Firefox browser having issues with memory corruption. Last week, Mozilla, with the efforts of pulling a closure to this bug, released a security patch for its browser. The company updated Firefox to fix three security holes through 3.5.6.

“We presume that with enough effort at least some of these could be exploited to run arbitrary code,”

the security advisory said.

Celebrating 4 Years of Writing

I cannot imagine that it has been 4 years and 4 months already since my very first blog post. Time went so fast that I never realized that I’ve been writing stuffs for quite some time now. The feeling is overwhelming, especially when I read back those writings (still posted at a social networking site). I’m not a full time blogger, nor make money out of this thing, its just that I feel like sharing my thoughts and new experiences through writing. From personal blogging to my tech portals – its been my interest to post anything that I want to share.

A Glimpse of Google’s Chromium OS

We have been itching to have a peek on Google’s OS whose name is similar to its Web browser, Chrome. We have been seeing lots of new OS releases, from Windows 7 – Snow Leopard – and handful of new Linux distro out there, Google is planning to join the bandwagon probably releasing Chromium OS at the later part of 2010.

The way I see it, you couldn’t compare it with Snow Leopard and Windows 7 – since it somewhat pointed directly on Web. It is geared to showcase the world wide web as the backbone of its usability.
